Christianity in China

A massive wave of Christianity has been sweeping across China in recent years, and the Chinese ruling party, officially atheist, is now struggling to figure out how to control it.

So begins the introduction for a video produced by Frontline/World and The Chicago Tribune, Jesus in China: Is Christianity Transforming China?

Interesting how the faith spreads under persecution, isn't it?

I'll have to watch the video at home. My workstation won't run the video.

You've probably heard about the government-sanctioned Beijing Church of Christ. I don't think it's that good a deal, especially since I don't see the Gospel as primarily a message about personal salvation for a future escape from this world. I commented on that a few months ago on my blog.

I'll trust the underground church, however messy I imagine it to be, long before the government churches.

Thanks for bringing up this video. Looks like it will be interesting.

What are doing this summer since you don't have Danley wedding to go to? It would be great to be heading back to Idaho. That was such a beautiful place.
How's life for you?
